Jack, I didn't see the nails either.  I just pulled gently on the trim piece 
and it came loose on the bottom end.  After I modify the length of the pump 
cover, I will re-attach the trim piece with some hot melt glue.  I will try 
not to be too generous with the glue, in case the trim piece has to be 
removed in the future.
