And one more little bit of E-Bay maina, there are now several software
programs in use by folks that will automatically check items you want
to buy and snipe for you. High Tech sniping. It is sometimes hard
to beat the systems. I have been told by some successful bidders that
they will put in a really outrageous bid for what they want, then just
pay whatever it ends up. Sounds dangerous if two such "fellows" are 
bidding that way. Example, item is worth $25, so they bid $200 to be
sure they beat the snipers. I haven't tried that one, but a bid in the last
5-10 seconds sometimes works.
