Kellie,
 Don't put the poison where the dogs can get at it. Adults probably
wouldn't eat enough to harm them, but if puppies get into a large
quantity, it'll kill 'em. We had a pup get into a big bag of rat poison
and it did him in.

However, it won't hurt a dog to eat a dead mouse, or even a little bit
of the poison. It's not cyanide or anything like that. The most common
mouse/rat poison is Warfarin, and they give a derivative to heart
patients to thin their blood.
