[A/S] Amonia odor in my fridge

Bummer -

After turning off the refridgerator in our '77 31' Airstream several days
ago and allowing it to defrost, I cleaned it (same procedure as I've used
for 20 years) and restarted it yesterday morning. Half an hour later I
checked it and heard a gurgling sound that I've never heard before plus
noticed the freezer box was still warm. Immediately, I suspected the cooling
system was in the last throes of dying and I'd be exchanging it for a new
one next week. 

Another half hour went by and I checked again. The gurgling sound was still
occurring, but this time when I cautiously opened the door, I held my breath
before taking a "one half second whiff" of what was inside. The smell of
amonia was clearly evident.

It looks like our trip from Upstate New York to the VAC rallies in Delaware
and Georgia will be delayed. Bummer - big time bummer.

Tomorrow (Monday), will be our turn to deal with this latest snag in getting
ready to play Snowbird again.
