Re: [A/S] Full Timers #2 of 2

ITyler,
I have enjoyed reading your thoughts about full=timing but now I am really
curious. Is there a 'fulltimer' group that requires some rigid adherance to
certain 'rules' (ie; 365 nights IN your A/S) in order to claim membership? Or
is it just the usual thing of certain people who feel inadequate and make up
for it by putting someone else down?

<<2 - Friends of ours who park their Airstream at various homes of their
children have upon occasion fallen asleep in their son's Lazy Boy and slept
through the night in their son's home. When our friend related this story at
a rally, one of the RVers SHOUTED at him, "You aren't a full timer, you're a
part timer." The heated discussion that followed ended in stalemate.>>

Would these friends of mine be considered 'full-time' or 'part=time' boaters?
They lived full-time on their boat in Alameda (SF bay), raising 2 daughters
from infancy thru high-school. Now they live and cruise in Mexico on the boat
except in the hurricane season. They come back to the bay area (sans boat)
and stay at her dad's house (and both work to refill coffers) for June -
September. They left Monday to return to Mexico and I asked my friend how she
felt about leaving - "I'm looking forward to getting back home", she said.
Sigh - now I'll miss her until next June.
