I guess I'm not in a mindset where being a fulltimer is a badge of honor and 
not being one is a put down. 

It never occurred to me there are different ways of being a fulltimer... if 
you live fulltime in your RV you're a fulltimer. It's not something to brag 
about, it's just a fact.

Insurance companies sell "fulltimer" insurance.... what's the difference?  
The difference is you need liability & contents insurance because you don't 
have a house that carries insurance to cover those two things.

<Their Airstream was in the repairshop. They
were looking forward to "returning to their silver home."  A visitor in the
hospital said to them, "You aren't full timers anymore. Have you thought of
getting a real home?" For what purpose was this "put down" said?  Obvious.>

I don't see that as a put down at all.  People who are not RVers don't *get 
it*. I have friends who asks me things like "Don't you want to sleep in a 
real bed?"  They aren't putting me down.... they just have never stayed in an 
RV and don't understand that my bed is a *real* bed. "Don't you want to use a 
*real* shower?"   *My* shower is a real shower.  I just smile and thank them 
for the offer. 

I don't see being a fulltimer or a partimer is some sort of a competition.... 
 I guess I don't see all the shades of grey....... to me you are or you 
aren't.  Neither is better. It's up to each person to choose. If someone 
isn't fulltiming, it's strange to me that they say they are.... like that 
makes them somehow better than partimers.

If people have fulltiming friends who think they are better than someone else 
is a partimer it sounds like it's time to get some new friends......

I've never heard of this being an issue before... it's mystifying......
