Like Rich, I do the same thing, but with my spare water pump attached
directly to the water inlet connector outside the trailer and drawing
antifreeze directly from the gallon containers. It has always worked like a
charm. 

Some windshield wiper fluid in the traps and it's done. Simple system that
has worked for 40 years without a snag.
