Sam and others,

I am deathly afraid of any moisture being left behind within the piping systems,
therefore I pump antifreeze throughout my entire system.  One of the by-products
of a compressor is moisture so there's a little moisture that is in the very
system you're using to remove a lot of moisture from.  Maybe it is over kill.

Of course it is, or seems to be easier winterizing by attaching a hose to the
water pump, and then pumping antifreeze directly from a jug.  But before I came
up with a 3 way piping network at the pump, I used to use a small swimming pool
cover pump in a 5 gallon bucket with some non toxic antifreeze at the city water
hookup and just pump it through that way..

While it is true you don't get the antifreeze into the lines of the pump system,
those would be the only lines missing it.

I was really frugal at one point; I saved my antifreeze from year to year by
blowing it back into the bucket at the end of winter....I don't do that anymore
because it is so reasonable to purchase and I was always curious as to how much
moisture I added to the antifreeze from the residue left in the system after
purging with compressed air.

Only my opinion and 27 years of trailering in New England where it gets mighty
cold!
