In my older Airstreams, I had access to the water pump when I winterized the 
trailer.  In my 1999 Safari, the water pump is under the floor of the closet. 
 One of the Airstream mechanics said to gain access, he would cut a hole in 
the floor of the closet.  With pump access in the older Airstreams, after 
blowing the lines, I would put the pump supply line into a jug of antifreeze 
and pump antifreeze through the system and the pump.  Before antifreeze was 
readily available at a reasonable price, I would blow out the lines and bring 
the pump in the house for the winter.  Now, without easy access to the water 
pump, I only blow out the system.  

Will draining the water heater, blowing out the water piping system, draining 
the fresh water tank, draining the holding tanks, and placing antifreeze in 
the P traps take care of the winterizing?  If leaving the trailer for more 
than a few weeks, I would also place the battery in a warm place.

Do I need access to the water pump so I can make sure it is drained or get 
antifreeze inside the pump?
