[A/S] insulating airstreams for winter use
I have just purchased my first Airstream, a 1977 Ambassador. It is
in great shape and I want to use it all winter. But I don't know
much about it yet and need a lot of advice about how to keep the
water system from freezing, best way to conserve heat, etc.
I live in Durango, Colorado and the temperatures here stay at and
below freezing much of the winter (now, fast approaching). Luckily,
we have electric and sewer hookups right here on our property, but
may have to have a water line installed that is available directly to
the trailer. I really need your help....anyone out there had any
experience insulating water storage tanks?? I have also heard that
Airstream sells skirting to help diminish heat loss. Thanks! jch
