Peg,
I am sure you are quite confused by now! Simply go the Zinsser's 
website: http://zinsser.com/primerapps.asp    (Primer Selector)
Unless your interior paint is flaking, blistered or falling off the 
walls, there is no reason to remove it.  Just scrub down with TSP or 
a heavy duty cleaner such as Top Job or Spic & Span. I use a high 
quality, short nap roller cover and have never had a problem applying 
B-I-N. You might use a 7" roller and cover, making it easier around 
the curves and follow along with a good brush. I prime damaged dry 
wall and water damaged ceiling with 123, but never on tile, (B-I-N is 
better).
