I am so excited to be able to answer a question! My choice would be a 
high quality Benjamin Moore or Porter, satin or eggshell finish, 
not flat,(easier to keep clean).  Also, check to make sure you use 
the correct paint, oil or latex.  You may test a small area by 
applying rubbing alcohol with a cloth and a bit of elbow grease.  If 
it dulls the present finish, it is latex.  Just make sure the 
interior is clean before you start.
