Outside of air conditioning, the electrical needs in a trailer can be
satisfied with solar power. You have a propane refrigerator, which
doesn't use electricity, and a gas stove (ditto). Both are not so common
on boats. :-) Solar arrays aren't cheap, but neither are gensets that
run a lot of hours.
If you have an inadaquet solar array, you can install a good
converter/charger that works as a 3-stage battery charger and replenish
your batteries in a few short hours of genset time. Charging batteries
with a regular converter is a very slow propostion.
An AirStream trailer is well-ventilated, so you can get by w/o A/C when
others would die in their closed-up boxes. Depending on where you are
and just how hot it is, of course.
