Don,
Thank you.  It is interesting to see that Texas has pretty much the same 
rules as California. Both have a maximum speed of 55mph, which surprised me - 
I figured that Texas would have a much higher limit - instead it is Idaho and 
Nevada with a max of 75mph w/trailer. Oregon shows 65.

The good thing (IMHO) about the 55 max is that it applies to large 
tractor/trailers which means they won't (legallly) be whipping past on the 
highways. I've noticed many references to semis blasting past rv trailers and 
sending them out of control. (unless, of course, they're being towed by a 
large long wheelbase truck using a Hensley hitch)  <grin> <tongue-in-cheek>
