[A/S] Dometic Question

I just purchased a Dometic 1025.2 to install in my 1965 Overlander.  
According to the Dometic Website it was a perfect match in demensions to the 
older one I had.
Now that I am trying to install it, I find my waterpipe from the storage tank 
is right in the way, and keeping the iunit from recessing all the way back. 
Has anyone encountered this problem, and how did you solve it?  I thought 
about blocks under the refer unit but I dont have the height.
