[A/S] Dometic Question

Will be replacing my 1965 Overlander refer with a new Dometic 2510.2.  I 
understand that the newer units require a 12 volt connection.  can anyone 
advise me the best place to draw the power from( where to connet the wire, at 
the fuses? directly to the battery? or what.  Also what guage wire?
