Most interior residential outlets are 15 amp, you should have a 20 amp circut in your garage, this will run your A/C, (but the A/C only) as long as you keep the cord short and the wire gauge at least 12. My Dometic 13.5 levels out at 12 amps on medium fan and the compressor running. Works for me Greg
