You're right.  Bite the bullet...and comply.  Not being able to cook or
take a hot shower might hasten your decision.

I work it like this.  If it can go wrong, it will...and to me.  You may
get away with it for 20 years.  I'm gonna get nailed the first squirt
out of the bottle.  

If it breaks, it's gonna break on me...and it's gonna be on Interstate
80 at 3 am in the boonies out of cell phone range.

I always expect the worst.  Then if the worst doesn't occure, it's
gravy.

With luck like mine, I'd really rather not.

Your mileage may vary.  Some parts are edible.
