I'm sorry your floor developed the hair line cracks, from your posts 
about it, I thought it would be ideal as well as beautifu. But thanks 
for the info.  If one wanted parquet, do you think the foam type 
underlay that is used under "pergo" would work?  Or would water still 
get thru the seams?  I'm glad to learn of the problem, as eventually 
I would like to install wood, now I know some of the pitfalls I may 
encounter.
