[A/S] Re: Hey Conrad...AC question
Kellie, Terry, Greg,
Thanks for all your help. Had the brake controller & plug installed
on the GMC, and also the running boards. Good work done well, by
guys who know their business. The Chevy service dept. manager told
us there wasn't factory wiring under the hood; thankfully, he was
mistaken. The workmen knew right where to find it and had the plug
and control installed with no delay.
Still working on the A/C, the compressor is working well, but not
quite cooling enough. The repair man is a friend who is not as
familiar with rv A/C's as house type units, he thinks the pressure is
sufficient, but he has an A/C co-worker who knows about roof air and
is coming tomorrow after work. Only one place in town works on them
and can't get to us for a while, maybe they hesitate to work on
Airstreams, that was the case in Texas. The repairman who worked on
it in Iowa City the past 2 summers seemed to know his business, but
we won't get there until late August. Hope we find the problem
before then.
Our hesitation in getting a new one is that we like the pan with the
drip hose. We will have to look into the Dometic Greg mentioned.
Still trying to get on the road. Our Aunt is getting ansy for us to
get to Texas to take her to her 90th birthday party in Raton, NM.
Looking forward to a nice trek west.
Again, thanks to all you who responded to our plea. We know this
list is the first place to go with questions. Many of you have
helped us, and we sincerely appreciate you.
Conrad & Tricia
