It is only the seams that give the provlem. any where there is a seam you 
have the potential for water to seep through eather from moping or from 
spills.In another life when I used help to install tile in homes we would 
glue down black 15 lb tarr paper which acted as a morsture barrer under the 
tile. the reson i suggested to clean off the old glue and coat the floor with 
pinitrating epoxy is it rendered the floor water proof and wood will rot only 
if water can pinetrate it. I am totaly unfamilior with the many new and 
similated wood floors on the market. If you can find a compent installer he 
would be in a position to better answer your questions. A salesman will tell 
you what you want to hear. I have solved my provlem with no real sweat ans 
now have a permant beautiful floor.
