I had my SmartTire (6 wheels on a 34' A/S) installed at a local
independent tire dealer in Wilmington, NC, for under $300. The exact
amount is hard to figure out sense I had new tires installed at the same
time (Marathons - Load range D). I had gotten a quote of $229.00 plus
$10 per tire for instillation from Sears in Jacksonville, NC. I too have
been alarmed of 2 different tires that were 5 lbs low as soon as I
reached the 25 MPH required to turn the system on inside the tires. I
think the system will keep me from running with low air pressure, which
is the major killer of most tires.
