The coleman was a factory sealed unit with no taps for
evauating or charging the system, unless driving
motion has caused a line to crack someone is fooling
with you. How old is the unit? In later models Coleman
put a freeze sensor switch at the bottom of the
evaporator coil, it would shut the compressor off if
the coils started to ice up.
Another word on AC's it seems like Airstream no longer
has the drain pan for the Colemans, the only one
available now is for the Dometic Duo-therm Penguin,
nice AC, low profile and 3 speeds.
