Harvey,
 Having had both a ramp-type controller and a Tekonsha Voyager, I agree
with you.

However, if you want a hydraulic-actuated controller, you can get a
Warner from Can-Am RV in London, Ontario. Cost is about $150.00 US,
including shipping. Getting someone to install it might be problematic,
but I'm going to do my own.
