Re: [A/S] AZ trip

Don Hardman Why would you want to take I-40 when everything worthwhile
seeing is on the blue line roads....???? Surely you are goiing to the
Grand Canyon while out there!!!! go out the east
entrance and stop at the Cameron Trading post
there is a beautiful tin ceiling in their dining room.....they even hold
Elderhostels there at the trading post.......follow 264 across to Window
Rock stopping and exploring the communities there in
the Hopi and Navajo reservations......At the Hopi cultural center they
have a trainiing school for Hopi's to learn silversmithing and a Motel
where they are learning management (restaurant fine) The
Navajo Museum in window rock has spectacular jewelry exhibits.......if
you are interested go to Canhon de Chelly where Cochise would hide
out.....4 corners where you can put a foot and hand in 4
different states......I have towed my 64 30' thru there with a 1/2 ton
IH
Travelall, and several times with 1` ton 460 Ford van.....the only
thing on I-40 is the petrified forest and not much there. Pearl in
SoCal
