Hunter,
The airconditioner at full load (not startup) pulls
13.5 amps.  I using a heavy duty contractor 25'
extention cord rated to carry the same amperage as a
25' 30 amp connecter cord.  The only difference I see
between the 30 amp cord on the A/S is the connector
and the color yellow.  If the fridge is off and
nothing else is running, I'm not sure why this would
be a problem.
