You guys that are beating the bushes looking for a hydraulic controller
in order to get a proportional system just need to get an Ultima 2020.
Your hydraulic unit uses the pressure in the hydraulic system to tell
how for you have moved the break peddle. The Ultima uses a steel cable
connected directly to the break peddle arm to do the same thing. Then
both units convert this peddle movement to a voltage that is applied to
the electric brake magnets on the trailer wheels. Both have adjusts to
set the amount of voltage sent to the brakes based on the weight of the
trailer and your preference of how you stop. The Ultima 2020 is

I do not have any stock in Jordan Research, but have used hydraulic,
pendulum, and the Ultima controllers. I can not tell the difference in
the Ultima and a hydraulic unit, and will never own another pendulum
controlled unit.
