Re: [A/S] purchase of 34' excella 1988 walk thru bath

Hi Ray,
I am one of the switchers. We had a 28 ft Southwind for 10 years and had
many enjoyable camping trips and long trips with it. We towed a small car
behind so we had wheels when we reached our campgrounds. We sold it because
we started to have problems with the mechanical things under the hood. Also,
we experience delamination and that was going to be very expensive to fix.

We bought a 23 ft Safari in Dec. 1999 and we love it. It tows like a charm
and meets our needs. We would like to get a bigger unit down the road, but
right now our tow vehicle is a 1999 GMC van and is rated to tow 5500 lbs. I
guess if we could have chosen the perfect unit it would have been an Excella
between 25 and 29 ft. We are leaving for a short trip to KY in April and
hope to spend about a month there.

Good luck in your choice of units. I think you will enjoy it. There are
adjustments to make--i.e. no basement etc. But the driving is great and the
maintenance is less.

Best regards,
