 Those meters are about useless, you need a good panel mounted Digital
VoltMeter. The difference between fully-charged and 50% charged is a
half-volt or less (from 12.6 down to 12.1). The lights start to dim when
the battery is down to less than 11 volts, at which time the battery is
effectively "dead". (100% discharged is 10.5 volts) You don't want to
run your battery much below 50% charge on a regular basis if you want
decent life out of it.
