On our panel it also has a meter for the battery charge, although it can be 
misleading. It never says it has more than 3/4 charge, often says about 1/2, 
yet it is a new deep cycle, and we can easily go 3 days on a charge running 
lites and water pump. We have never drained the battery. Only had unit two 
years so I haven't had the chance to see how long I can drag a charge out of 
it.
