That makes sense. I can see the benefit of having a light that draws
more curent than a typical test lamp.

The advice on gas is the same as a friend gave me, and it makes sense to
me. I didn't realize the electric mode simply heated up an element. I
guess I was thinking it had an electric compressor as well.

That makes a lot of sense to me. The only thing I do like about the
diode system is that it won't charge the trailer when the main battery
needs it. We plan to do some nighttime desert driving and the bright
aux lights (Hella Rallye 1000s) are a must for driving in the desert at
night, and we always seem to get to the camp site at night! It's even
more important to see where you're going with the trailer in tow.

Thank you for that bit of information. I was starting to think about
what I needed to do for monitoring, and had no idea where to start.

That panel looks great. I'll probably install something quite similar
on the outside of left-hand wardrobe.
