20 amps DC is typical for a three way Dometic.  You will deplete your
trailer battery very quickly  using the box on DC.  Even with the tow
vehicle hooked up and running you cannot get 20 amps of DC to the Dometic.
The wires are just too small and with the various connections the losses are
quite high.  I helped a friend set up his tow vehicle to be able to charge a
trailer battery  while driving.  It required a new auto voltage regulator
which could be set from 12.1 to 16 volts which could provide sufficient
current with reasonable wire size (he used #10).  He had to remember to turn
the regulator down when he was not towing so as not to boil his auto
batteries (diesel).
Use your propane to run  the Dometic while towing.  For a Motor Home,
however, you can easily use the 12 volt DC supply to run a three-way
refrigerator.  The wire lengths are short and the size can easily be
whatever you need.  I like this myself since I have an aversion to driving a
MH with propane on.
