Thanks for your post and the recommendation on the Jordan Research
controller.  I was afraid the replies I would get to my posting would be
along the line of, "my Tekonsha works great and you must be nuts!!"  Friends
and RV dealers have told me that already.  It is good to know that it is in
fact a common problem and I am not just too stupid to get the controller
adjusted properly.

I have trained myself to keep my right hand free and ready to immediately
crank the controller gain control to full gain as I apply the truck brakes
when pulling the trailer through a city with a relatively high speed limit
and fast changing traffic lights.  Clearly, that is not a safe or desirable
situation to be in.

What is the ballpark price of the Jordan Research unit?
