How about a patch made of two-part epoxy putty?  

If you can reach the busted pipe and touch it, you could probably also
form a band of that putty around the pipe (when empty of water, and
dry, of course...), let it cure for a day or two, and then you'll
maybe be good to go.

Anyway, it is cheap and easy ... worth a try, I'd say.
