Re: [A/S] Patching A/S skin around new H2O heater



When installing the new atwood heater you'll have to add a stiffener at the
edges of the original cut out and at the edges of the new water heater
cutout. you'll need to either use buck rivets or olympics at the edges of
your plate to the skin and a 1/8" rivet at the edges of the new cutout. Make
sure you put a bead of vulkem at all the flat surfaces before riveting. The
stiffeners can be purchased or made if you have a small hand brake 3/4-1"
high and 1 1/2" deep, so you'll need maleable aluminum 3-3 1/2 wide to make
them.
