One thing I have a problem with regarding sensitive radios such as ham or
CB is the power converter being too noisey. This also applys to any
flourescent lights.
My power converter is the one that came in my A/S (1972) so it may not
apply to newer ones.
My heater motor plays havoc with some of my gear as well.
This is just something to think about before you buy Icom's two thousand
dollar radio.
