Harvey,
Through much help from people on this list here is a summation,
The deadbolts that fit A/Ss' are no different than the ones that go on
house doors.
The main difference you will have is the lock mech. will be on the wall
and not the door.
You can use a 60mm (2 3/8") or a 70mm (2 3/4") backset model. I have seen
both installed on Airstreams.
Several lock sets at Lowe's feature both backsets (ie: they are
adjustable).
If you use the 60mm backset, the lock will overlap the door frame by
around 10mm. If this is okay with you to have the lock slightly cocked
then use the 60mm setting.
If you want the lock to sit flush with the outer skin then use the 70mm
setting. This will move it out away from the door frame by the needed
10mm.
I want it flush for two reasons; One, I think it looks better. Two, less
chance of water collecting behind it and finding its way to the wood
floor.
You might could file the edge of the lock housing to mate up flush with
both the door frame and the skin if you use a 60mm backset but why
bother. A 70mm takes care of this. 
Another issue brought up that needs to be addressed is the lock shank
diameter. A few on this list feel that the large shank (and the hole you
have to drill in the door) will weaken the door frame. You can alleviate
some of the potential for a warped door by taking a grinder and grinding
off about a third of the shank. That means a smaller hole in the door
frame. You will also have to grind down the plate that attaches to the
door (the one that accepts the lock shank). the ones I see at Lowe's have
a plate that is made for a wider wood door. I will handle this by making
a new one from 1/8" stainless and use flush rivets to install it. I feel
that the stainless plate will more than make up for the strength loss
from drilling the hole in the door.
As for which one to buy, My Lowes' has only two models in stock that have
the stainless finish (fifty with the brass look).
The one I like the best is twice the price of most they have. It will be
in the commercial lock section (normally on a end cap down the alse of
locks.). It is higher because of the better lock cylinder. This equates
to being harder to pick. I need this due to what my A/S is used for. 
If you go to e-groups and get to the Airstream section you will find
under files a set of deadbolt pics. These will let you see a 60mm backset
model installed.
