I  haven't had experience with any bad replacement problems, so can't really
answer your question.  Wrecked Streamline units are few and far between, so
I wouldn't think there would be too much hope from that standpoint.  I had
to have one patch for a hole on the lower side - front, and the local
Airstream dealer was able to match the aluminum for that area.  You can't
tell there was ever a repair made.
     The Streamlines are more similar to the Silver Streaks, from which they
originated, I think.  They are indeed heavier than the Airstreams, with a
stronger frame.  Still, they are on the light side compared to the modern
trailers.  My 1965 22 foot Duchess had a dry weight of 3250 lbs.
