[A/S] Replacement Windows

Hi Gang,

I deleted a bunch of mail by mistake, but I think someone was asking where to 
get replacement windows.....

Terry's ideas were great, find a defunct Airstream dealer.... but if you 
can't find what you want there is a replacement that will work.  Not quite as 
well as originals, but certainly well enough until you find originals or 
forever......

The manufacturer is Cyro Industries, Inc.   http://www.cyro.com  the
product is Acrylite II.   It is very hard, impervious to sun rays, and the 
manufacturer 
claims it is scratch proof or at least scratch resistant.  A similar product 
which is not
claimed to be scratch resistant is available also at a lower cost and is
Acrylite.

Acrylite II is sufficiently flexible that it will bend to contour to the
curved sides of our beloved vintage Airstreams and, will take a
set and hold that contour after being latched for some period of time. 
The product a satisfactory substitute for the
original glass windows and it is available at plastics retailers.  The
manufacturer's website contains various information about their products and
the company offers an opportunity to send an e-mail.
