Chrysler DIDN'T buy Daimler-Benz.......Chrysler was bought BY Daimler-Benz, 
and in spite of the talk about a merger of equals (a myth.....it was a 
straight corporate takeover/buyout), the Daimler people just arrived here in 
Detroit, FIRED a lot of upper level management, began to conduct meetings in 
German, and generally excluded upper level Chrysler people from basically all 
decision making.  You ought to hear them yelling here!!!  OOMGAHWAH!

On another note, has anyone seen/bought/test driven the new Nissan 
Pathfinder.  It got a STELLAR writeup in the automotive trade mags, is listed 
as a 5000 pound tow rating, and has been jazzed up from 170 HP to over 240 HP 
with corresponding torque upgrade.  What would the opinions be about it as a 
tow vehicle for a lightweight (between 2000 and 3000 lb) 22 foot airstream?  
I know that it is popular on the list to think that anything less than a semi 
is inadequate to pull ANY Airstream, but some of us have pulled BOATS heavier 
than this with vehicles with less HP.  I'd like an opinion.
