[A/S] Belly Pan!
I would like some opinions! I am staring to fix up a 62 Overlander and I
keep thinking that I 'll put all this time and money into it to find out
that it is too rusted to travel with.My wood floor had very little rot
by jalosy window but frame that I could see was fine , ,rust on frame
that sticks out for bumper to mount to ,and a little rust on front of
trailer where belly pan raps over cross brace on a frame hitch ,not
talking rust color but RUST. Here is what I can do, my friend has a
forklift that picks 42,000 lbs. 9 ft. forks 8 ft. spread. Lift whole
trailer from the side on either side of axles to about 7 ft. so I can
walk under. ,At this point should I drill out rivets and drop pan???? I
am capable of re-riveting or screwing pan back on, even have access to
hydraulic rivet gun.The pan seemed to have alot of powdery dirt in it
when I replaced small section of floor..Give me some input please!
