Scott and Richard,

Thanks for the info on the Goodyear Marathon tires. We replaced
ours while staying at the Minn Airstream park. One of our friends
there had the same year trailer and blew a tire, much like Hunter
did. They not only lost the tire, wheel well and filler to the
fresh water tank.

Goodyear covered part of the cost and the insurance some of the rest.
It convinced us to turn in our five year old load C tires.

By the way can some one enlighten me on why not to use silicon caulk.

I have now read nearly 3000 posts on this thread and yes I do have
a life!!!!!!Have learned so much in knowledge and links that it
was well worth it.  Thanks to all of you.
