For those interested in transportable paddle boats you could look up 
"Folbot" on the Yahoo Search site.  You will find a lot of links.  These 
are boats that fold up into bads for carrying in vehicle.   I had a 16ft, 
2 passenger Folbot for several years until it got to much of an assembly 
job for me.  Newer models are easier to assemble however.  Mine only took 
about 30-45 minutes.  Another is call Pak Yak which is a boat you can 
build your self.  The boats are a bit like Kyacts (sp) but more stable 
and quiet safe.  More stable then a canoe.
