[A/S] Best time to go to the Grand Canyon in 2001?????

Hey Guys/Gals,

I work for a large company and have to schedule my
2001 vacation on Monday 10/23.
My wife and I plan on going out West for 2 weeks to
see the Grand Canyon and some of the state parks out
that way. 
Does anyone know what the best time of year is to do
that weather-wise and all?
