Hmmm... no offense?  I think I speak for quite a few owners when I say that 
is a bit offensive.... being called stupid and knocking my trailer both 
offend me.

My 1996 is, I think, the best designed Airstream I've ever seen.  Old or new. 
  Most people who come in it and see all the features are quite impressed by 
how well designed it is...and how much they have packed into such a small 
space.

I don't think it has to do with people being "too smart to buy into status or 
an inferior product".... it has to do with people not having $50,000 to spend 
on a travel trailer.
