Seems to me you should consider  modification of  a wheel chair that fits 
door and the interior of trailer.  Also there  are a numbe of portable 
lifts that might be adapted to getting in and out of trailer.  Check with 
you local wheel chair and hospital equipment rental places for advice and 
mfg names.
