I often wondered about the term "gaucho" myself! BUT...that's what folks call the bed/bunk/couch/seat! Underneath an opening "gaucho" are slides to facilitate the opening of your bunk...or..your extended table leaf. and these are made by "Walter of Wabash!" At least..mine are.
