Re: [A/S] 1960 Tradewind axle/brakes etc.

Toby, your 1960 AS is the last year for a straight axle with leaf
springs.  If the springs and shocks are not worn or broken, your axle
is.....OK.   In 1961, the Dura Torque axle was introduced, which is a
torque tube type axle with rubber billets. (no springs)  If your coach
is not sagging, and it is riding straight, your axle is probably OK.
The 1961 and newer Henschen  Dura Torque type axles tend to lose their
elastisity after about 25 years, and tend to "settle".  Any good trailer
shop, that deals in horse trailers or utility type trailers can inspect
your axle and springs.  good luck.
