Gerald: I like this idea, but it would not be all that hard to mount a strain gage in a metal block and use that to control a microcomputer that will pulse width modulate the break. It would seem to me that it would be real cheap. A couple op amps, a small microprocessor, and a billion dollars of insurance. bill 25 ft Trade Wind in WV
