Re: [A/S] '66 Caravel
Interesting. The "Caravel" didn't get the curved windows until 1969.
I've seen the Caravelle name pop up now & then, but never actually on a
trailer or Airstream literature. Can you give some more details, it may
help figuring exactly what we are dealing with. The model and serial
number from the plate just forward of the door would be great, and the
length and a brief description of the window layout.
As for HW heaters, the new ones fit in just fine - the key is to keep
the outside shroud for aesthetics, requiring it to be installed from the
inside (easy on the Caravel) or removing the shroud and enlarging the
opening slightly.
Floors are another matter. Small patches can be repaired with epoxy.
large sections require interior removal and lots of swearing, as the
outside walls capture the floor at the perimeter.
